The program

Five days of structured therapeutic work with a licensed therapist, inside a week of professionally guided ski touring on the Kenai Peninsula. You prepare before you come. You practice while you're here. You carry it home.

Who this is for

A good fit

  • Adults navigating burnout, transition or long-running stress
  • People who want to practice skills, not just talk about them
  • Intermediate resort skiers or better — touring experience optional
  • Able to commit to sessions before and after the trip

Not the right fit right now

  • Anyone in acute crisis or needing a higher level of care
  • Those seeking a vacation or a luxury retreat
  • People who can't safely ski moderate terrain for several hours
  • Those unable to join preparation or follow-up

What the five days look like

An arc, not an itinerary.

Mountain objectives are set each morning by Merrick based on conditions and the group. The clinical arc stays constant; the terrain doesn't.

Day 1

Arrive / Safety

Establish psychological safety, mountain safety, group expectations and baseline.

Day 2

Awareness

Encounter manageable challenge and recognize personal responses to stress.

Day 3

Challenge

Experience meaningful challenge within appropriate clinical and mountain boundaries.

Day 4

Practice

Intentionally practice new responses and resiliency skills during a real experience.

Day 5

Integration

Reflect, identify transferable lessons and create a plan for bringing those skills home.

Meet your team

Clinical lead

Raven

they/them · Licensed Professional Counselor

Raven designs and leads the therapeutic work: qualification conversations, pre-trip sessions, daily group process and integration. Raven holds clinical judgment and responsibility within their scope.

Mountain lead

Merrick

she/her · Lead Guide · Chugach Ski Guides

Merrick has guided the Kenai backcountry for over a decade. Merrick holds judgment over terrain, snowpack, weather and technical safety — and can change the plan at any point.

Mount Therapy coordinates everything between them — qualification, permits, lodging, logistics, payments, preparation and follow-up — so the two professionals can focus on what they're responsible for. How the platform works →

How qualification works

Two professionals. Four questions.

No algorithm decides whether you come. People do — each within their expertise.
