What is Mount Therapy Events?
An outdoor operations partner for licensed clinicians. We plan and run the backcountry side of an event: guides, permits, lodging, meals, ground transport, gear and emergency planning. The clinician designs and leads the therapeutic work.
Does Mount Therapy Events provide therapy?
No. Clinical work on every event is led by the licensed clinician named on that event's page, within their own scope of practice. Therapy language appears only on clinician-led event pages.
Who are the events for?
Licensed clinicians (therapists, counselors and clinical social workers) and the clients they choose to invite, such as first responders and outdoor professionals. Most participants join through an invitation from their own clinician.
Where do events take place?
In Alaska, on the Kenai Peninsula and in the Chugach, near Seward and Portage. Access is permitted: a Chugach National Forest special use permit and a Kenai Fjords commercial use authorization.
How big are the groups?
Small: about five participants per event, plus the lead clinician and professional guides.
How are participants screened?
Twice. The clinician screens for clinical readiness in their own practice. Our lead guide reviews physical and technical readiness. Nobody joins without both. Our website collects contact details only; health and screening information stays with the clinician.
Who makes safety decisions in the field?
The lead guide sets each day's terrain from the snowpack, weather and how the group is doing, and can change the plan at any time. Every event has a written emergency plan shared with the clinician beforehand.
What does it cost?
Participant pricing is listed on each event page; the Seward Resiliency Intensive is $4,800. For clinicians, pricing is set per event and shared on request.
How does a clinician partner with Mount Therapy Events?
Start with an intro call. Together we design the event around the clinician's goals, publish an event page the clinician shares with clients, prepare the group and run the event.
